Hans J. Wegner designed the CH24 in 1949 as his first chair for Carl Hansen & Søn, and it has been in continuous production since 1950. A single steam-bent piece forms the back and armrests, held by the Y-shaped back splat that gives the chair its name. This version is in oiled oak with a seat hand-woven from natural paper cord.
